Terms of Use

Please read these terms carefully before using Aculator.

Last updated:

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of https://aculator.com (the “Site”), operated by Aculator. By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

1. Use of the Site

The Site and its calculators are provided free of charge for personal, non-commercial, informational use. You agree not to misuse the Site, including attempting to disrupt it, access it by automated means at a rate that burdens our servers, copy it wholesale, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

2. Calculator accuracy disclaimer

We work hard to make every calculator accurate. Formulas are drawn from published sources and tested against known answers. However, all results are estimates provided for general informational and educational purposes only. Results depend on the information you enter and on the assumptions and simplifications built into each formula, and real-world outcomes may differ.

  • Financial calculators do not constitute financial, tax, investment or legal advice. Actual loan terms, returns and benefits are set by lenders, markets and agencies such as the Social Security Administration.
  • Health calculators are not medical advice and are not a substitute for diagnosis or treatment by a qualified healthcare provider. Talk to a doctor before changing your diet, exercise or medication.
  • Engineering calculators (such as voltage drop and stair calculators) are not a substitute for the National Electrical Code, the International Residential Code, local building codes or the judgment of a licensed electrician, engineer or contractor.
  • Date and time calculators should be double-checked for legal, payroll or contractual deadlines.

You are solely responsible for how you use any result. Always verify important figures with a qualified professional before making decisions.

3. No warranties

The Site is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of harmful components.

4. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Aculator and its owners, contributors and partners shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, savings or opportunities, arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, the Site or any calculator result, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability is limited to US $0, as the Site is provided free of charge. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

5. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Aculator from any claims, losses or expenses arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Site's design, text, graphics and code are owned by Aculator or its licensors and protected by copyright and other laws. Mathematical formulas themselves are not owned by anyone; you're welcome to use and share the results you generate.

7. Advertising and third-party links

The Site displays third-party advertising and may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content, products or practices of advertisers or linked sites. See our Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies work.

8. Changes and termination

We may modify, suspend or discontinue any part of the Site, or update these Terms, at any time. Continued use after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Aculator is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
